628 Years of Potatoes – Marina Resende Santos(45 min)
Refusing to give in to exorbitant land prices, a young woman simply claims a vacant lot in a poor district of Berlin. The urban wasteland gains new life when the neighborhood kids begin playing in the reclaimed lot and help the young woman plant and harvest potatoes there. The filmmaker masquerades as the landowner, meeting with realtors to explore the dimensions of "owning" – an attempt to practically and poetically transfer possession of the lot. Winner of Berlin’s Mart Stam Prize, ‘628 Years of Potatoes’ probes the complexities of ownership, eviction, and what it means to create value on land.

Dwelling: A Measure ofLife in the Atlanta Forest – Sasha Tycko (45 min)
Dwelling: A Measure of Life in the Atlanta Forest follows one Atlanta forest defender's quixotic attempt to build a hut by hand in the forest occupation at the centre of the fight against Cop City. By patiently following the building process over several months, the observational film explores how the utopian spirit of the movement meets the practical challenges of living in the forest. As a militant struggle unfolds off-screen, the film contemplates the nature of work, technology, and making a home.
