As part of the exhibition Ways of Mapping we are organizing a series of workshops by the participating artist.
Sounding the Island by Celeste Wright
What does Brienenoord sound like when we pause to listen?
This participatory workshop invites you to discover the island through its overlapping sound worlds: different birdsong, rustling leaves, flowing water, wind through the treetops, distant traffic, humans going about their day. Through a sound walk, attentive and interactive listening, and collective sound-making, we will create our own interpretations of the island's living soundscape and discover new ways to observe the world around us.
The workshops are free, but registration is required because there are only limited spots.
