Natuur doordrenkt  lied – lied  doordrenkte natuur

Mensenstemmen van het  koor vermengen zich met stemmen van het eiland en vormen samen het eilandkoor  in deze muziektheatrale voorstelling  met workshop element.

Spits je oren om de  zachtste stem van het eiland te kunnen horen. Hoe dichtblij klinkt de wind?  Hoe ver weg het verkeer van de brug? In de workshop werken we toe naar een meerstemmig lied gezongen en verklankt door eilandmensen en het eiland zelf.  Het eilandkoor sluit af met een verrassing.

The Island  choir consists out of various people with love for  nature and singing. They  studied repertoire and explored sound  during spring  at  the Island of Brienenoord. Ishtar Bakhtali  directs the Island choir and is experienced in teaching various singing and  music workshops. At Artez University (Music Theatre) in Arnhem she teaches  choir and vocal technique. As a composer and vocalist Ishtar incorporates  Carnatic (South Indian classical music), jazz, electronics, and Latin  American influences in her narrative compositions and performed in various  music theatre performances and is alumna of NKK NXT (Traineeship Nederlands  Kamerkoor) and Codarts. A recurring theme in her collaborations and projects  is the connection and friction between nature and human desire.
