Een wereld waarin schaduwen in licht kunnen veranderen, kan bestaan. Maar het hangt van ons af. Zijn we er klaar voor om het te laten gebeuren?  Shadows Sanctuary biedt die kans!  Kom 's middags met ons mee om samen de ruimte te bedenken en te laten groeien. Grond, tijd, ruimte, natuur, eiland, kleur, geluid, menselijkheid, alles komt samen om een ​​toevluchtsoord te creëren.  En wanneer de duisternis valt, voelen de schaduwen zich welkom en kunnen we hun bestaan ​​aanschouwen, erover leren, ermee spelen en ze zien transformeren. Dit is een uitnodiging om een ​​nieuwe wereld binnen te stappen, waar wij zijn omdat jij bent.

Maak kennis met Shadows United, een in Rotterdam gevestigd kunstenaarscollectief met en zonder verblijfsvergunning. Via wekelijkse schaduwtheatersessies werken ze samen aan heling, geven ze vorm aan overlevingsverhalen en vestigen ze de aandacht op de realiteit waarmee mensen zonder verblijfsvergunning worden geconfronteerd. Are we ready to make it happen?  Shadows Sanctuary is the opportunity!  Join us in the afternoon to imagine together the space and make it grow. Ground, time, space, nature, island, colour, sound, humanity, all come together to prepare sanctuary. Then, when dark arrives, the shadows feel welcome and we can witness their existence, learn about them, play with them and see them transform. This is an invitation to step into a new world where we are because you are.

Meet Shadows United, a Rotterdam-based collective of artists with and without residence permits. Through weekly shadow theatre sessions, they work together on healing, give shape to stories of survival, and draw attention to the realities faced by undocumented people. Encounter their unique visual language and discover the healing power of their work. Do you see us now?
