“Waar is Angela???” is een voorstelling van een collectief jonge makers die de thematiek van (on)veiligheid in het het queer nachtleven aan de kaak stellen. Ze eisen de nacht terug als ruimte van vrijheid, expressie en solidariteit.

In een mix van theater, performance, poëzie, muziek en clubcultuur wordt het publiek ondergedompeld in een feestelijke, maar confronterende ervaring. De voorstelling speelt zich af in het bos, waar de grenzen tussen publiek en performer vervagen en de vraag centraal staat: Wat betekent veiligheid, en voor wie geldt dat eigenlijk?

Laura Nieuwenhuis is afgestudeerd in 2024 aan de Toneelacademie Maastricht.  Laura verkent de innerlijke strijd en donkere emoties vanuit een liefdevolle provocatie, en schudt het publiek wakker door hen te confronteren met het onbewuste en genegeerde gevoelens.  Ze verhoudt zich altijd tot de (queer) vrouw in de samenleving met als missie nieuwe perspectieven te bieden om meer representatie van de queer vrouw  te creëren.

“Waar is Angela???” is a performance by a collective of young creators who address the theme of (in)security in queer nightlife. They reclaim the night as a space of freedom, expression, and solidarity.

Through a mix of theatre, performance, poetry, music, and club culture, the audience is immersed in a festive yet confronting experience. The performance takes place in the forest, where the boundaries between audience and performer dissolve, raising the central question: what does safety mean, and for whom does it actually apply?

Laura Nieuwenhuis graduated in 2024 from Toneelacademie Maastricht. Laura explores inner conflict and dark emotions through a loving provocation, awakening audiences by confronting them with the unconscious and with neglected feelings. She consistently relates to the (queer) woman in society, with the mission of offering new perspectives and increasing the representation of queer women.
